Bid Finance Manager
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercial Finance specialist to join our team as a Bid Finance Manager. Working across a variety of sectors but predominantly Chartwells, you will be working very closely with the Business Development teams to be the specialist expert for Finance, providing commercial insight on the market through utilising past bid information as well as analysing external sources of information. As a key contributor to the Sales process, you will also be required, on occasion, to represent Finance at Client meetings or presentations and hence strong communication skills is a must.
The Bid Finance Manager will be responsible for delivering sound financial judgement and ensuring that information provided is accurate and understood by all areas involved in the process. Once the bids have been finalised, it is the role of the Bid Finance Manager to take accountability for the sign off process and ensure that it is compliant with the UK Approval Manual. Through Lost Bid Feedback, Post Investment Appraisals and working closely with the Sector operational finance teams, the successor will be expected to gain insight and benchmarking data needed for the continuous improvement of future bids.
This is a highly strategic role that is right for someone that is able to analyse large sets of data, taking only the relevant and key information forwards to the team as well as evidencing through financial reports. The successor must have a keen eye for detail and an understanding of how their role fits in the wider team and how it affects business moving forwards. Strong evidence of stakeholder management is a must as the Bid Finance Manager works with different teams across the business.
